Summary of the lowest score cribbage variation
This is our favourite variation and great fun at the end of an evening of great cribbage.
The object of the game is to NOT reach 121 points before your opponent(s). Ace is always low. King, Queen, Jack and Ten count as 10 as normal.
Dealing
Players cut for deal (Ace low, highest card wins). Deal as normal. Score as normal.
The dealer may want to put bad cards into their own crib– their opponent will want to get rid of, and put their best cards in.
Playing the hand
Play as normal but careful not to score any 15's, runs or get anywhere near 31.
Show the hands
Score the hands as normal. Your opponents will want you to score as high as possible, so will be checking you score every point.
Victory
The first player to get past 120 (the ‘stinkhole’) is the LOSER.
